An exceptionally rare and special pair of amphora shaped early Empire candle holders. They are executed in patinated bronze with gilt bronze ornamentation. The vases have a warm dark brown patina and two deer heads on the side form the handles of the vases. Between these heads, on the top front of the vases, we see a garland of flowers with a ribbon....
Both vases rest on a rectangular base which has a decoration of a fluted candle holder with two snakes.
The finish and decoration are of superior quality and very refined. This pair of Empire candle holders dates from the beginning of the French Empire period.
Dimensions: 35 cm high, 10 cm wide, 9 cm deep. Size of the base: 9 cm x 9 cm.
