Ik was al een tijdje op zoek naar een specifieke en vrij zeldzame vaaspendule, met name een klok met de beeltenis van twee Romeinse krijgers. Naar mijn mening een van de mooiste en elegantste modellen die tijdens de empire-periode ontworpen werden. Van dit model werden er de voorbije jaren op antiekwebsites een paar te koop aangeboden. Maar meestal verkeerden ze niet in een prima conditie. Vaak had het vuurverguldsel al veel van zijn glans letterlijk en figuurlijk verloren. Toen ik onlangs een exemplaar zag verschijnen op de website van Apollo Art & Antiques heb ik niet lang getwijfeld. De pendule werd aangeboden in een nagenoeg perfecte staat, en dit tegen een behoorlijk scherpe prijs. En dit is nu net de sterkte van Apollo Art & Antiques. Topobjecten uit de Empiretijd aanbieden tegen een eerlijke prijs. Bovendien spreken de zaakvoerders met kennis van zaken, zijn ze betrouwbaar zijn en zorgen ze voor een professionele verpakking en aflevering van de stukken. Gewoon top!

Communication was flawless, the informative and very friendly replies always arrived promptly, the items, two ornate Empire candlesticks, were packed very professionally and securely and now stand on one of our antique chests of drawers, much to our delight – looking exactly as they appeared in the excellent photos on the professionally designed website. In summary, I can highly recommend Apollo Art & Antiques!
