The design of this pair of arrow shaped French Empire candlesticks in gilded bronze is truly exceptional. The symbolism of the design refers to Eros, god of love. Especially the barrel, which has the shape of a down facing arrow. The candlesticks rest on a circular base which carries decorations of quivers, arrows, bows and flames.
